Free Day and Extra Tickets on Sale for Liberty Forum 2014

February 12, 2014 – Nashua, NH – Today the Free State Project announced additional tickets have been made available for its seventh annual Liberty Forum, New Hampshire’s premiere liberty conference. While Liberty Forum’s main focus is on the national surveillance state and whistleblowers, topics run the gamut from permaculture to crypto-currencies like bitcoin. This four-day conference will be held February 20-23, 2014 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Nashua.

Thursday, February 20th events are free and open to the public. The scheduled talks, panels, and even a State House tour, include a welcome by FSP founder Jason Sorens, a talk by Redditor Bruce Fenton on Bitcoin, a talk on “How Money Walks,” a panel discussion on the death penalty, a class on “counterveillance,” and a social media Tweetup. The evening ends with Ignite Nashua, where 19 speakers will give 5-minutes talks to “Enlighten Us, But Make It Quick.”

Friday, February 21st, the keynote speaker is international bestselling author and political activist Naomi Wolf, who will be speaking on topics outlined in her New York Times bestsellers, The End of America: A Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot and Give Me Liberty: A Handbook For American Revolutionaries. Ms. Wolf will also participate in a panel discussion on feminism at 5:30 p.m. Tickets to Friday’s events are $80 for the whole day, which include a guide for citizen lawmakers, a talk by Cody Wilson on the world’s first 3-D printed gun, a discussion on asset forfeiture reform, discussions on bitcoin, press freedom, and more. Individual evening tickets are $30 (after 5 p.m.). This includes access to Naomi Wolf’s keynote address.

Saturday, February 22nd covers an array of topics: Tor, bitcoin, Open Source technology, encryption, how to start a brewery, school choice, Big Brother vs. The Man, to name a few. “The Social and Civic Importance of Whistleblowing” discussion with NSA whistleblower Thomas Drake and his attorney Jesselyn Radack, as well as Trevor Timm of the Freedom of Press Foundation, which is moderated by the NHCLU, will take place at 9 p.m. Full day tickets are $80, and tickets to events after 5 p.m. are $30, and includes the Whistleblower talk.

Sunday, February 23rd, hear Edward Hudkins, former senior economist for the Joint Economic Committee of the U.S. Congress, propose a radical transformation of the GOP in a talk titled “The GOP Civil War: Will Liberty Win?” Christian worship sessions are also scheduled.
