Happy Thanksgiving from the Free State - See The Video
“Hello, this is Varrin Swearingen and I am the President of the Free State Project and I would like to welcome you to the first ever video President’s Corner. It’s Thanksgiving Day and it’s Thanksgiving at our house. I have with me Caleb and Mark and Laura, who are our guests today. And behind the camera is my lovely bride, Edi and over yonder our two children Edison and Erin, say hello.”
Erin and Edison, “Hi!”
Varrin, “And we’re asking everybody what they are thankful for. Erin, what are you thankful for today?”
Erin, “Our house.”
Varrin, “Alright, and Edison?”
Edison, “I’m thankful for our fish.”
Varrin, “Our fish! We have our fish also as guests today. Yeah, this is the kind of thing we do here in New Hampshire, having friends over and social events and so for Thanksgiving we thought we would invite some fellow early movers and we’ll ask them what they are thankful for. Caleb?”
Caleb,” I’m thankful for friends, family and the Indianapolis Colts being 9 and 1.”
Varrin, “Alright, go Colts!”
Mark,” I’m Mark Edge, host of the Radio Show, Free Talk Live. I’m thankful for being in the Free State, being able to bring people here to the Free State, having the opportunities that we’re not going to have anyplace else. I’m thankful that my lovely wife decided to come up with me and I’m thankful that I have friends to share this holiday season with.”
Varrin,”Anything to add, Laura?”
Laura,” No, thank you.”
Varrin, “Alright. And I’d like to remember, in a way of thanks I suppose, Milt Friedman whose life concluded this week. His contributions to the pro-freedom world are probably going to be remembered for eternity. His work in economics earned him a Nobel Prize, and the rest of his work earned him the respect of Libertarians around the world.”

Recent FSP Activity - See The Video
- First 1000- The First 1000 broke 600 this week. We have 400 to go in 5 ½ weeks so we gotta get with it. We are doing some things, including making phone calls, some of our volunteers here who have been calling people asking to sign up. So if you haven’t signed up yet, please do that as quickly as possible.
- New Hampshire Liberty Forum – Liberty Forum discount ends today, so if you’re watching this you’ve probably missed it. But go ahead and register as soon as you can. Speakers include John Stossel (ABC), Sharon Harris (Advocates for Self-Government), Jim Harper (CATO Institute), Jack Cole (LEAP), and so on and so forth, and most likely Joel Winters, newly elected Free State Project participant to the State House in New Hampshire.
- Direct Mail - Letters to participants, also to promote the First 1000, are going out very soon, probably within a week. Look for yours in the mail soon.
- Goodsearch.com – Here's Here’s a friendly reminder, use GoodSearch.com for your internet search needs. Let them know you want to support the FSP and we'll receive money for every search you perform.
- Volunteers - We are still looking for more volunteers: an events coordinator and someone to update the New Hampshire information pages. Contact Nik if you're interested in helping the FSP by volunteering.
- New Movers – I don’t have any Move reports right now, but I’m sure there have been some. Will have more in the next edition.
