FSP News - January 2010
NH Liberty Forum
It is that time of year again! The NH Liberty Forum 2010 is just around the corner. If you attended last year you remember the feeling of having 300 people who you don't have to explain yourself to. You remember the electricity in the air during the talks and between the talks. You remember surrounding yourself with liberty lovers. Come back in 2010 and charge your batteries!! If you weren't there last year...come and see what it is all about!
We have some exciting new speakers Stewart Rhodes from Oath Keepers will be there. Pasha Roberts from LinePlot will be there talking about his cool new animated film that wants to END THE FED. Tom Baugh will teach us all how to Starve the Monkey.
Come hear those speakers and more! A further list can be found here: www.freestateproject.org/libertyforum. And we have some more speakers to announce shortly. And we added a Sunday brunch.... Who doesn't want brunch with 300 libertarians?
Inexpensive ads are available for sale for the LF booklet. Contact libertyforum@freestateproject for details.
Sign up NOW you won't want to miss it.
Volunteering
Last month we put out a call for volunteers and many of you answered the call... THANK YOU. But we still need more. The FSP runs on volunteers. We could use your talents. Spend as little or as much time as you want. Check out our help wanted page.
If you see something that the FSP is NOT doing... make a suggestion and we can add that job to the page. There are great ideas out there about how to get more people interested in the FSP...we just need help implementing those ideas. Volunteer TODAY!
FSP Job Alert
There is a new group on Facebook: FSP Job Alert. A group of people are posting jobs in NH to this page. If that is the only thing holding you back....contact that group right away so that we can help you find a job. Join this group so that you can see all the job listings. And if you are in a specific field let us know.
Recruiting
Want to recruit new FSP participants? This Ridley Report video mentions several ways to recruit that you may not have thought about. Here is the link to the FSP download page mentioned in the video, http://www.freestateproject.org/volunteer/downloads.
Speaking of recruiting, a few people are distributing FSP bookmarks, buy them here, at libraries around the country (but mostly in Massachusetts). If the idea interests you, a thread on the FSP Forum
has the
details. Keep in mind that the above types of recruiting are
neither endorsed nor sponsored by the FSP.

Local Groups
The FSP local groups are picking up steam throughout the nation. If you want to find a local group near you post on the forum or Email localgroups@freestateproject.org with your name and city/area, and we'll help you get connected.
Merchandise
A new batch of pins has arrived. They look as gorgeous as ever, but we
now have two different attachment types. The safety pin and the
butterfly clutch. These look great and are wonderful conversation
starters. The conversation often starts with "Hey, what's that pin?"
and can end with "Wow, far-out man, that Free State Project scene is
like the happeningest group of freedom loving cats around, I totally
dig it". Or it can end with "Awesome dude, I can't wait to kick it
with those bodacious liberty guys in New Hampshire, they're the bomb".
Or it can end with "Ah, yes, your lucid explanation concerning the
preeminence of liberty as the casual agent of human consummation has
me eagerly looking forward to a time when I shall reside in the Free
State". Or it can end with "OMG, those d00ds rock! They kewl or what?
Tyrant n00bs will taste the pwnage for sure. Gimme a woot 4tw!". Or it
could end with, "Like, mega-rific man, that is like so totally
dee-vine, I mean like think of all the nifty guys and gals totally
making freedom work, like I'm like ready to freak out about how swell
that will be". Or it could end with a simple "Yeah" (you know, one of
those off-the-grid guys you see a month later and says, "Yeah, I
moved, but didn't want to tell anyone".) One of the many great things
about a free state is the kind of people you meet and better still,
the ones actively promoting Liberty in Our Lifetime. And hopefully all
of the freedom-loving, liberty-leaning people around the world will be
displaying the fine FSP pin.

The Free State Project is an effort
to recruit 20,000 liberty-loving people to move to New Hampshire. We
are looking for neighborly, productive, tolerant folks from all walks
of life, of all ages, creeds, and colors who agree to the political
philosophy expressed in our Statement of Intent, that government
exists at most to protect people's rights, and should neither provide
for people nor punish them for activities that interfere with no one
else. freestateproject.org

The Free State Project (FSP) is an effort to recruit 20,000 pro-liberty activists to move to New Hampshire, where they will exert the fullest practical effort toward the creation of a society in which the maximum role of government is the protection of life, liberty and property. The work of creating and sustaining such a society in New Hampshire is the job of residents, including project participants, not the Free State Project itself.
The FSP does not endorse any specific changes to government or strategies to achieve them. The FSP does not take positions on issues, candidates, legislation, places to move within New Hampshire, tactics or methods of action. The one stipulation the FSP does make is that people who promote violence, racial hatred, or bigotry are not welcome.
Reporting by the FSP on participant activity or NH events on the website, in the newsletter, or in any other place does not represent support or endorsement and may not portray the diversity of opinions and activities that exists among participants.
