What can you do to help the Free State Project if you can't yet make a permanent move?
Well, lots of things, but there's one that absolutely anyone can do.
Get two specific bumper stickers, and put 'em on the back of your car. One is for the Free State Project, the other is simply a "LIVE FREE OR DIE" bumper sticker (which I got for free in New Hampshire...but can't remember exactly who gave it to me). Let's face it: Advertising works. When we held several Florida statewide meetings a few years ago, there was one older guy (hope you made it to the Free State, man) who told me he never put any bumper stickers on the back of his car. It's just an attitude he had. But in the case of the Free State Project, he told me, he did indeed want an FSP bumper sticker to put on his car. Why? I asked him. "Because I've just got a feeling about the Free State Project," he said. "I've got a feeling that this just might work." The unspoken fact was that he had been active in the freedom movement in America for many years, probably going back before the sainted Barry Goldwater...and had seen absolutely nothing work. "This just might work," he said. Check it out for yourself, and don't forget to read the archives, at the Free State Project web site.
Where to get the bumper stickers? I've got a few FSP ones left. If you promise to put one on a couple of cars, I'll send you two, for free. Such a deal. But I've got an ulterior motive, too. It's called...Liberty in Our Lifetime.
