Plans and Saving; Part, the Second.
It's February, I've just turned twenty, and I have a tax free Savings account. I know what you're thinking. "What?!" Yeah I said it, "tax free" . This account is (for me) for the sole purpose of buying land in NH, and moving there. Which is why it's found here. You can save up for whatever you want really. It's sooo simple to create one, that i'm surprized that more folks don't do it. Firstly, there is no interest tax, because there is no interest. And; secondly, the Idiot RevenoorS can't audit you for something they can't see. Also it's still legal as far as I know. Some more common names for this account are as follows: Piggy-Bank, Coffee Can, Mattress, Wall Safe, and finaly; the empty chip can that's in almost evry pantry in America.
Another good hiding place is the false wall outlet available from: http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/security/ . I must at this point add that I am in no way affiliated with the folks at ThinkGeek.com. They just happen to have the sort of anti-theft and security devices that I find to be most helpful in keeping what I earn. The authorette, Claire Wolfe, also has some interesting ideas on this subject, which can be found at: http://www.backwoodshome.com/wolfe_index.html . Found on that page, near the bottom, is an article about the FSP. It is because of this article that I found out about the FSP in the first place.
They can't tax you for stuff they don't know you have and they can't garnish an in home savings. More money = sooner move date. Also try to buy as much as you can in cash, to avoid going into debt.
