Taxpayer Activism Panel

New Hampshire is famous for its low taxes. With no state income tax and no state sales tax, much of the decision about exactly how much tax is collected falls to the residents of each specific city and town. As a result, taxpayer advocacy groups have had significant effect on government spending.

The Taxpayer Activism Panel will discuss:

  1. Accomplishments that NH tax payer advocate groups have achieved in NH
  2. Effective strategies employed by taxpayer advocacy groups
  3. Each group's vision for the future
This will be a lively, interactive discussion; audience participation is enouraged!

  • Ed Naile, Chairman of the Coalition of New Hampshire Taxpayers and co-host of NH Taxpayer Radio
  • Jenn Thornton and Jen Twardosky, co-founders of tax activist group Merrimack Cares
