Interested in Drug Liberty in your Lifetime?

Creating and Enjoying Drug Freedom in the Free State

A New Strategy for Liberty

Are you frustrated at the loss of freedom and responsibility in America, while the growth of government and taxes continues unabated? Do you want to live in strong communities where your rights are respected, and people exercise responsibility for themselves and in their dealings with each other?

If you answered "yes" to those questions, then the Free State Project has a solution for you.

What the Free State Project is... The Free State Project is an effort to recruit 20,000 liberty-loving people to move to New Hampshire. We are looking for neighborly, productive, tolerant folks from all walks of life, of all ages, creeds, and colors who agree to the political philosophy expressed in our Statement of Intent, that government exists at most to protect people's rights, and should neither provide for people nor punish them for activities that interfere with no one else.

Please join us in beautiful New Hampshire, making a difference - restoring Liberty in Your Lifetime!

Making a Difference - Today!

Over 600 people have "made the move" to the free state. These early movers have already been making themselves heard. Some have been elected to office. Some have strengthened existing local freedom organizations or have created their own. Some have worked on spreading the philosophy of limited government. All are making New Hampshire a better, freer place.

Activism Getting Results!

  • 2010
    • HB1373 "Establishing a committee to study the effects of current state and federal laws on illegal drugs and the possession and use of such drugs." passes into law. The bill was introduced by a Free-Stater.
    • HB1652 "Allowing purchase and use of marijuana by adults, regulating the purchase and use of marijuana, and imposing taxes on the wholesale and retail sale of marijuana" is retained for serious study; see the incredible video here. The bill was introduced by a Free-Stater.
    • Medical marijuana passes NH House and Senate; comes within 1 vote(!) of overriding the Governor's veto.

We have proof now that pro-freedom activists will actually move to New Hampshire, in fact without even being obligated by a commitment to do so. Even more importantly, those who have already moved to New Hampshire have given us proof that that they can actually change things for the better.
Varrin Swearingen - President of the FSP

These early mover liberty activists have been doing good work and having a lot of fun:

  • Creating pro-freedom organizations like NH Common Sense *
  • Throwing parties
  • Getting elected (four already to the State House!)
  • Supporting efforts to legalize marijuana (medical and otherwise) as well as industrial hemp
and dozens of other things. In fact, there's so much going on that liberty activists sometimes have to choose which events to attend.

Throughout the centuries there were men who took first steps, down new roads, armed with nothing but their own vision.
Ayn Rand

As exciting as things here are already, just imagine what it will be like when the "first 1000" have arrived!

Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.
Thomas Paine

Sure, its not all fun and games, but with so many good things happening already you can surely find something interesting to work on.

If this exploratory committee doesn't go well, maybe I ought to consider moving here [New Hampshire] and running (in) a statewide race
Ron Paul
