What the Free State Project is... The Free State Project is an effort to recruit 20,000 liberty-loving people to move to New Hampshire. We are looking for neighborly, productive, tolerant folks from all walks of life, of all ages, creeds, and colors who agree to the political philosophy expressed in our Statement of Intent, that government exists at most to protect people's rights, and should neither provide for people nor punish themfor activities that interfere with no one else.
Please join our community of liberty activists working in beautiful New Hampshire to achieve Liberty in Your Lifetime!
With the way our country is headed, time is quickly running out to fight for freedom and to find your place in New Hampshire's ever-growing and supportive freedom community. In New Hampshire's libertarian community, we take care of our own (we even have our own 911 number)!

Low tax activists amend charters of Rochester and Manchester to cap all spending increases to the rate of inflation -- Union Leader [1] [2]
Problem: election after election has proven that our fragmented liberty movement cannot win without a drastic change. The small remnant of liberty lovers are ineffective and alone.
The Free State Project has the answer: unite and work together in one place. The place is New Hampshire, America's freest state. New Hampshire is also the lowest taxed state within the lower 48 (no income and no sales tax) and it is the state most amenable to pro-liberty activism. Over 700 of us are already here with more pledged to move by the end of next year, and many more to follow.
The ways Free Staters are fighting for freedom are varied and include:
Electing four Free Staters to the New Hampshire State House. Here is video of the first FSP 'pioneer' elected to the State House, back in 2006. With less than 1,000 movers so far, it will be exciting to see what happens when we have a few thousand moved.
Electing about 20 Free Staters to various local offices.
Getting a spending cap in various New Hampshire towns that cap the rate of spending to the rate of inflation.
