First 1000 Pledgers - join us to celebrate at the New Hampshire Liberty Forum! Come to the Free State in February, or to PorcFest in June...

Action of the Month - Go for the gold! The Golden Porcupine, that is. Do your part and
reap the rewards. If three participants list you as the reason they joined the Free State Project, you can join the venerated rolls of the Golden Porcupine. There are no goofy handshakes and no silly songs, but there is a fancy gold pin you can proudly wear to proclaim your achievement. You will also get a certificate and have your name listed on the FSP website. Most of all, you will know you've done a fine job in helping us to achieve Liberty in Our Lifetime.
"My husband and I took a stand two years ago and moved to New Hampshire as part of the Free State Project. I don't know if the plan will work but the signs are good and we are optimistic. But, if nothing else, we are acting on our consciences." - by Jean Alexander in her essay, Voting Our Conscience, published in The Libertarian Enterprise.
Some intriguing new statistics shining a light on New Hampshire. The State ranking of mortgage closing costs for 2006 was just released by bankrate.com. And, newly updated figures from the Annie E. Casey Foundation's Kids Count state-level data online measures the share of children under age 18 who live in households without a computer and children without internet access at home.
How's your aim? Shoot at your local range then send your targets in and may the best Porc win (prizes, fame, fortune, etc.) A different course of fire with multiple categories every time will keep things interesting. Free State Match #1 targets are due back by February 7th. Read all about the Free State Match Shooting Competition on the FSP website. Good luck!

Brian Wright's new article is on The Sacred Nonaggression Principle (SNaP). He indicates that this is the central role of the FSP. The SNaP article is currently on Brian's Coffee Coaster website and will be published in February by Liberty Magazine. Brian Wright is the author of the New Pilgrim Chronicles, a new book about his journey to the "freedom portal" of New Hampshire with the FSP. "SNaP out of it, man!”
