2nd AMMENDMENT HELD HOSTAGE BY NH. SULLIVAN COUNTY ATTORNEY

CNN IREPORT ARTICLE: **** In an apparent effort to exonerate himself from any future lawsuits or culpability, Sullivan County NH. Attorney, Marc Hathaway, has been holding Debra Bazell’s two hunting rifles and one shotgun, magazines, and ammunition “hostage” since November 2007. Debra reports that she has made numerous attempts to recover her firearms through County Attorney Marc Hathaway and Sullivan County’s Sheriff, Michael Prozzo “They wanted me to sign a court document stating that the charges they had brought against me were not processed and give them permission to do a NICS (National Instant Criminal Search) investigation into my background. Doing this would mean that the bogus charges might have some validity on paper, but they just decided not to prosecute, and I won’t do that.” explained Debra. Debra goes on to say that she has received only intimidation tactics by both the Sullivan County Sheriff and County Prosecutor, including being backed into a wall by the threatening and screaming approaching Sheriff Prozzo when she went to pick up her firearms and refused to sign the paperwork that they presented to her. In October of 2008 she mailed both the Sheriff and the Prosecutor a ‘registered letter’ demanding the return of her firearms and that she would sign a simple receipt for their return … they never responded. During the 2008 deer hunting season Debra was lent a rifle by then, New Hampshire State Representative Jay Phinizy, who now holds a position on President Obama’s Agricultural Team. “They (the County Attorney and the Sheriff’s Department) have continually violated my Constitutional Rights and encroached on my Civil Liberties. They have many Title 18 violations on them right now, just with me, not counting other people I have met who have also had many Constitutional Rights denied by these same people in ‘positions of authority’.” Title 18 violations can amount to fines up to $5, 000.00 per day per personal property item that are illegally kept from their rightful owner. Debra believes that this matter will have to ‘come to a head’ at some point soon and finally be resolved. “There is No statute of limitations when it comes to your Constitutional Rights being violated, and besides that”, Debra stated, “I requested that the FBI Agent I know, do a NICS background check on me.” According to Debra, the FBI granted her request and informed her of the following: “There is NO REASON why you cannot have your firearms.” Debra stated that the corruption exhibited in the Sullivan County Justice System is blatant. “My firearms are only the tip of the iceberg, we haven’t even touched on the forgeries, evidence tampering, stolen property, equal protection under the law, etc… committed by people representing the Sullivan County justice system, who not only believe they are above the law but also believe that they can make up laws as it suits their personal agendas.” Debra ended with the following, “I don’t know if Marc Hathaway is involved with the actual creation of false evidence against people, but what is ‘crystal clear’ to me is that when Mr. Hathaway has been presented with proof that the evidence is false, he has neglected to act on it and continues to prosecute using the same false evidence.”
