FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 12th 2004, Baltimore, MD - The Mid-Atlantic chapter of the Free State Project, which is dedicated to finding 20,000 people willing to move to New Hampshire and work to shrinkgovernment, will protest what its members believe is unfair taxation on April 15th, 2004, at several key intersections during the morning and evening rush hours.
Over 5,500 people have to this point signed the pledge promising to move to New Hampshire and reduce government to its most basic functions of protecting life and liberty. "The taxes we pay in Maryland are so outrageous they amount to slavery," said Mid-Atlantic Coordinator Keith Murphy, "When we live in New Hampshire, we will not have to pay a state sales tax or state income tax like we do here. We want to inform people they have other options in avoiding this huge tax burden besides going to jail. They can join us."
Targeted intersections include Falls Road and Northern Parkway, along with Pratt and Light Streets in downtown Baltimore. For more information, call 410-358-6284.
