I have a blog on elsewhere. It is not a "this is my life" blog, but a view of the world never viewed. Original ideas about the future of the planet and the current events. It is a hard look at politics and science in a theoretical but logical way.
Well here I am on Memorial Day 2008. Every year when we honor our veterans I see more and more of the freedoms that we fought for lessen and lessen. I love Thomas Jefferson's quote "When government fears the people it is called Freedom, yet when people fear the government it is called Tryanny". This seems to be the fast track that we are on today. The Democrats are Marxist in jackass clothing, while the weak and spineless Republicans seem to follow the Marxists with only a few exceptions. I truly hope that the State of New Hampshire will have a stronger resolve than the State of Michigan were I currently live. The FSP does seem to offer hope for freedom loving Americans.
It’s a misty morning at our new campsite, but we head into town to pick up an internet connection. We then go for our longest walk yet, and both Brooke and I take precautions against future blisters.
NH House Education Subcommittee Work Session on SB337 - "Relative to home education of children." I think the Chair grasps it all fairly well at about 1:09:15. Coulda sworn that was the primary argument for removing the requirement 2 years ago, wasn't it? Results-based (of the education process, not of the rule-making process) assessment? What's changed since then? What's the existing problem we're trying to solve?
